Cuban Ambassador to Canada met with Raymonde Gagné, Speaker of the Senate of Canada

Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, Ambassador of Cuba to Canada was received by the Honorable Raymonde Gagné,  Speaker of the Senate of the North American country.

 

In a cordial atmosphere, both figures exchanged on the good state of bilateral relations, which will reach their 80th anniversary in 2025. The occasion was also propitious to highlight the existing potentialities to promote the links between both nations, especially in economic, commercial and parliamentary matters.

 

Cuban ambassador met with the Honorable Karina Gould, Leader of the Government of Canada's House of Commons

The Cuban Ambassador to Canada, Rodrigo Malmierca Díaz, held a friendly meeting with the Honourable Karina Gould, Member of Parliament and Leader of the Government in the Canadian House of Commons.

 

During the cordial meeting, both congratulated each other on the good state of bilateral relations, which will reach their 80th anniversary in 2025, and the possibility of continuing to strengthen them in all areas.

 

Dany Tur de la Concepción, Second Chief of Mission, and Mariset Vazquez Lissabet, First Secretary, participated on the Cuban side.

Cubans living in Montreal and friends of Cuba condemn the blockade.

Friends of solidarity and Cuban residents met with Consul General Susana Malmierca Benítez, in Montreal. The aim was to discuss the presentation of the report on United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) resolution 78/7 entitled “Necessity of ending the economic, commercial and financial embargo imposed by the United States of America against Cuba” and the vote against the embargo which took place at the UNGA on October 30.

Donation sent from Canada to the victims of hurricane Oscar in Guantanamo

Under the phrase “From heart to heart, from Canada to those affected in Guantanamo” members of the diplomatic Mission in that country, Cuban Residents and Organizations of solidarity with Cuba, prepared a donation to send to the easternmost province of Cuba, affected by the recent passage of Hurricane Oscar.

The donation, which will be sent to Cuba in the next few days, includes non-perishable food, medicines, clothing, toiletries and other main necessities.
