Cuban film heritage and architecture

The University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) hosted a conference dedicated to Cuba's film heritage and architecture.

Representatives of the Cuban Embassy in Canada, the Consulate General in Montreal and the Office of the Historian of Havana attended the meeting, highlighting the ties that unite both countries as well as the values of our culture.

Children's Party in Ottawa

In a festive atmosphere and with the joy that characterizes children, the Cuban Embassy in Canada hosted this Saturday a “Cuban Children's Party” to celebrate April 4th.

 

The participants, children of Cuban residents, members of the Association of Cuban Residents in Ottawa-Gatineau, relatives of supportive friends and the Embassy staff, enjoyed the rhythm of children's songs, games of participation and knowledge that highlighted Cuban traditions.

 

Members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto presented on the Cuban education system at York University.

Members of the Consulate General of Cuba in Toronto participated as speakers in a virtual conference with students from York University on the Cuban education system.

 

The event, organized by the renowned intellectual and geography professor Ranu Bazu, was also attended by Professor Philip Kelly, Associate Dean of Research, Graduate and External Relations of the Faculty of Environment and Urban Change, and Elizabeth Hill, founding member of the Canadian Cuba Friendship Association (CCFA) in Toronto.

 

Cuba and Canada: 80 years of diplomatic relations.

In the margins of the end of World War II, in which they participated in the allied bloc against Nazi-fascism, Cuba and Canada established diplomatic relations on March 16, 1945.

Eighty years later, the two countries have consolidated their ties in all areas. It is a friendly relationship, based on dialogue and respect, which has created an atmosphere of trust and collaboration.
