Celebrate a day of solidarity with Cuba in India with the attendance of Aleida Guevara.

On the occasion of the visit of Dr. Aleida Guevara March, daughter of the Heroic Guerrilla Ernesto Che Guevara, different organizations and friends of the National Committee of Solidarity with Cuba are organizing a large and massive day in support of the Revolution and the Cuban people in seven states of India.

Aleida Guevara was invited to India by the KR Gouri Amma Foundation, which awarded her the homonymous decoration, named after a prominent political and communist authority of the Indian state of Kerala.

In a tour of nine cities of the South Asian nation, meetings were held with political figures of national and state relevance; women's, student and youth organizations; as well as universities. Of particular note were the meetings with the heads of government of the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu, meetings at the Asian College of Journalism in Chennai and HK Surjeet Bhawan in New Delhi, and public rallies in Kerala, Chennai and Calcutta.

In the different exchanges, the deep affection and admiration for Cuba, its people, the Revolution and its leaders, especially for the figures of Fidel and Che, is evident. The social achievements of the Cuban revolutionary process were also highlighted; achieved in spite of the illegal and genocidal economic blockade imposed by the United States on the island, whose intensification in recent years, in the midst of the global economic and health crisis, was immensely condemned.

The massive and warm welcome of the Indian people to Aleida Guevara is a reflection of the historic friendship that has united both nations for more than sixty years, which began with the visit of Comandante Ernesto "Che" Guevara in 1959.
