The Cuban Consulate in Toronto celebrated the 98th birthday of our Commander in Chief, Fidel Castro Ruz, with a simple and emotional activity.
The event included songs, videos allegorical to the date and words from leaders of solidarity organizations and Cuban residents. The moment was propitious to ratify the support to the Palestinian cause and to our revolution, as well as the denunciation of the unjust blockade imposed by the United States to our people.
Representatives of the consular bodies of Africa, Asia and Latin America, the Juan Gualberto Gómez Association of Cubans, the president of the Palestinian House of Toronto, members of the Communist Parties of Canada, the Canadian Network of Solidarity with Cuba, the Toronto Forum on Cuba, the Network of Solidarity with Latin America and the Caribbean, the Hugo Chávez Front, young Palestinians and other members of the Cuban community shared this tribute.
The Consul General thanked all the representatives of the different organizations and those who individually came to ratify their affection for our country and especially to pay a well-deserved tribute to our Commander-in-Chief.
