The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Bangladesh strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Cuban Embassy in Washington, USA. In a statement to the press today, September 26, 2023, CPB President Md. Shah Alam and General Secretary Ruhin Hossain Prince said that the terrorist attack on the Cuban embassy in the diplomatic area of Washington, the capital of the United States, on the night of September 24 is a matter of great concern. There have been previous terrorist attacks on the Cuban embassy in the US and the US government has not been able to bring the terrorists into criminal proceedings. The CPB believes that this attack is the consequence of the US government's policy of violence and hatred towards socialist Cuba, ignoring the opinion of the general public of the United States. Against terrorism, the US government shouts all over the world. Why can't they arrest the terrorists in their own country today? The US government should answer this, the CPB leaders said.
CPB leaders have urged the US government to immediately investigate the terrorist attack on the Cuban Embassy and bring those involved to justice.
The CPB leaders also said that the people of Bangladesh are always on the side of the Cuban people. The people of Cuba were also by the side of this country from the liberation war of 1971 to the various crises of Bangladesh. So CPB is also demanding Bangladesh government to officially condemn this attack.
