Meetings with Chambers of Commerce of Islamabad

Islamabad, March 10, 2021. Cuba and Pakistan have great potential to expand bilateral trade and areas of cooperation, agreed the presidents of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries of Islamabad, Sardar Yasir Ilyas and Malik Zaheer Ahmed, respectively, in meetings with the Cuban Ambassador, Zéner J. Caro González.

 

The Pakistani business sector, which has been able to cope with the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic with relative success, has shown great interest in knowing details about the Cuban development strategy and in identifying concrete projects with the Cuban business sector in sectors such as biotechnology, agriculture, textile production and industrial development. 

 

The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry comprises around 500 recognized national companies based in the country's capital, while the Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries represents the interests of more than 600 businesspersons and small traders in the city.
