Pakistani press highlights the results of the Fifth Round of Bilateral Political Consultations with Cuba.

Islamabad, 19 March 2021. The results of the Fifth Round of Bilateral Political Consultations, held on 17 March in virtual format and co-chaired by Anayansi Rodríguez Camejo, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cuba, and her Pakistani counterpart Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Under Secretary for the Americas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, have aroused wide interest among the Pakistani public.

 

Chambers of Commerce of Islamabad are looking forward to promoting trade and cooperation with Cuba.

Cuba and Pakistan have great potential to expand bilateral trade and areas of cooperation, agreed the presidents of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industries of Islamabad, Sardar Yasir Ilyas and Malik Zaheer Ahmed, respectively, in meetings with the Cuban Ambassador, Zéner J. Caro González.

Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Orlando Requeijo, signs the condolences book opened at the Bahrain Embassy in Riyadh, on the occasion of the demise of Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, who has been in this position for 49 years.

The Ambassador of Bahrain to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Hmood bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalifa greeted the gesture by the Cuban Ambassador.

Cuban Ambassador visits the city of Whanganui

New Zealand,September 6.-Cuban Ambassador Edgardo Valdés visited the city of Whanganui, where he held a fraternal meeting with Mayor Hamish McDouall. They talked about the possible cultural exchange between that city and Cuba, and agreed to work together to bring to Whanganui the photographic exhibition "Cuba through kiwi eyes", an excellent set of photos of the island taken by New Zealand tourists.
The Cuban Ambassador was also interested in efficient agricultural production in that fertile region.

GRULAC ambassadors meet with MFAT officials.

The Ambassadors of GRULAC (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Mexico and Peru) had a friendly meeting with the Director of the Division of the Americas and the head of Latin America and the Caribbean of the local Chancellery, Heath Fisher and Raylene Liufalani.

After several months of remote work, the exchange allowed us to resume personal contact between the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MFAT) and the Ambassadors, to update each other on the situation in our countries and to plan the strengthening of our links.

Cuba and Liberia continue to build bridges of dialogue to strengthen bilateral relations.

Monrovia, March 12, 2020 - The Chargé d'Affaires of the Republic of Cuba Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera met with the Advisor for American Affairs of the Liberian Foreign Minister Honorable Maxwell P. Vah, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this African country.

During the friendly and productive meeting, aspects of bilateral and multilateral relations were discussed and we reiterated our willingness to continue working for their further strengthening.

Monrovia, March 10, 2020.- Today, the Assistant Minister for International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Hon. N. Yaba Freeman-Thompson received in her office the Cuban Chargé d'Affaires, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera. 

During the meeting both diplomats discussed issues of bilateral and multilateral interest for the benefit of strengthening the cooperative relations between both nations.

Monrovia - The Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, H.E. Ms. Jewel Cianeh Howard-Taylor, exchanged views with Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba, Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera. The theme that dominated the conversation was "Empowerment of the Mujer¨ and admiration for Cuban women.

The meeting took place in a very pleasant and fraternal atmosphere.

The Vice President of Liberia is the second highest executive officer in the Liberian government. She began her mandate on January 22, 2018.
