Charge d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia makes a courtesy visit to Liberty Party executives.

On the afternoon of Wednesday, November 9, the Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia, Yordenis Despaigne Vera, was received at the Liberty Party headquarters. The counterpart was made up of several executives, including Maxwell Grisby, Acting Chief and Jacob Smith, Secretary General, among others. On the Cuban side, the Second Secretary Carmen Maury Toledo participated.

The members of the Liberian delegation thanked the Cuban diplomat for his. They recognized Cuban medical expertise, demonstrated in the fight against the Ebola epidemic and aspire to deepen ties with Cuba, based on mutually beneficial areas of interest, including not only health but also education.

The Cuban chief of mission presented a brief summary of the historical cultural ties of collaboration and friendship between Cuba and Africa, and ratified the commitment of the Cuban Revolution to the continent. He also explained aspects of the history, organization and functioning of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and its role in the direction of society and the Cuban State.
