Organized by the solidarity group "Toronto Forum On Cuba" friends of Cuba, intellectuals and members of the consulate, commemorated the 63rd anniversary of the Bay of Pigs victory.
The central words were given by Ghassan Abulawi, member of the leadership of the Palestinian youth movement and on behalf of the mission, the Cuban consul Sabdiel Lafargue, highlighted the significance of the date for the Cuban people and the importance of this activity in the preservation of historical memory.
Consul General Jorge Yanier Castellanos took advantage of the occasion to deny the enemy campaigns against our country, explaining the difficult economic situation caused by the genocidal US blockade of Cuba. He also ratified the backing and support for the just cause of the Palestinian people.
The space was propitious to project a documentary allegorical to the date and for those present to reaffirm their love and commitment to Cuba and the brotherly people of Palestine.
