Concluded the visit of the Cuban official delegation to Rouhani’s investiture

The official Cuban delegation invited to the inauguration of President Hassan Rouhani in his second term and headed by Vice-President of the Council of Ministers, Ulises Rosales del Toro, successfully concluded his stay in Tehran.

 

The delegation was present in the afternoon of Saturday August 5th, at this ceremony, where the Iranian president swore his position and gave the corresponding investiture speech, affirming that the Persian nation will continue a balanced and integral commitment with the world during the next four years of his government.

 

As a culmination of the visit, on Sunday August 6th, Ulises Rosales along with the accompanying delegation was received in audience by the invested president. During the meeting the Vice-president conveyed the congratulatory message from the president of Cuba to Rouhani for his re-election and stressed that Iran can always count on the solidarity of the Cuban government and people.

 

For his part, Rouhani recalled his successful and fruitful visit to Havana in September 2016, and stated that everything that was agreed upon should be implemented. He added that the vice-president's presence in Tehran was an expression of the island's political will to develop the links with Iran.
