The Cooperation between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Cuba strengthens with the incorporation of the first UNECA S.A. brigade in the country.

This weekend, four professionals in the construction sector arrived in Basseterre and will form the first brigade of the Union of Companies CARIBE S.A (UNECA S.A.) in this Caribbean nation. Three civil engineers and an architect, are the cooperants who have just joined the Cuban state mission in the Federation. These, accompanied by the Ambassador of Cuba, David Rivero Pérez, were received by the Minister of Public Infrastructure, Konris Maynard, the Permanent Secretary of that ministry, Daryll Lloyd, as well as by other managers and officials of the Department of Public Works.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, David Rivero held a working meeting with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Transportation, Information, Communication and Technology and Post Office of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Daryll R. Lloyd, this Thursday morning, at the headquarters of the Ministry.

Among the topics addressed, the proposal for collaboration in the construction sphere by hiring Cuban management and technical assistance stood out.

On Tuesday afternoon, took place the first coordination meeting for a future joint cooperation project between Saint Kitts and Nevis and Cuba, in the Construction sector. During the meeting, topics of common interest were reviewed, while were laid the foundations for the beginning of a project that will continue to strengthen and diversify the historical cooperative relations between these sister nations of the Caribbean

The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, David Rivero and the Honorable Minister Konris Maynard in charge of Public Infrastructure, Transportation, Information, Communication and Technology and Post Office of Saint Kitts and Nevis, held a fruitful work meeting, this Thursday morning, at the headquarters of the Ministry.

The meeting was aimed at jointly evaluating possible collaboration in the construction and infrastructure sector.

On this Monday morning, the Premier of Nevis, Honorable Mark Brantley held a warm meeting with the Cuban Ambassador David Rivero Pérez who was accompanied by Dr. Odalis Abreu Guirado, Head of the Cuban Medical Brigade, on a work visit to this island. Once again, the Honorable Brantley conveyed to the visitors his condemnation of the unjust blockade imposed by the United States Government on Cuba as well as his gratitude to the Greater Antilles for its contribution in the health and education sectors.

New health cooperators join the Cuban Medical Brigade in Saint Kitts and Nevis

Two new health cooperators from #Cuba arrived in St Kitts this weekend to join the Medical Brigade that has been providing its services in this Federation for more than two decades. With these new additions there are 16 professionals who, with a humanistic vocation and unwavering commitment, continue to give life to this sister Caribbean nation.

Cuban Deputy Prime Minister meets with his counterpart from St. Kitts and Nevis

As part of the visit to Saint Kitts and Nevis of the Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella, a cordial meeting was held with his local counterpart, the Honourable Dr. Geoffrey Hanley at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy.

The meeting, held in a friendly atmosphere, was conducive to verifying the good state of relations between the two nations and the mutual interest in strengthening existing ties.

Deputy Prime Minister of Cuba meets with Head of Government of St Kitts and Nevis

The Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Hon Dr. Terrance Drew, visited Deputy Prime Minister Jorge Luis Perdomo Di-Lella at the offices of the Cuban Embassy. The Cuban Deputy Prime Minister is in this Federation heading a delegation to participate in the commemorations of the 40th anniversary of independence.

During the fraternal meeting, Jorge Luis Perdomo expressed his satisfaction for being in this sister nation and for the possibility of taking part in the celebrations for the four decades of independence, which are celebrated on September 19.
