Port of Spain, October 28. - An important group of about 90 health collaborators working in Trinidad and Tobago completed their mission in the Trinidadian territory, which served as a call for a political - cultural event in which both collaborators and Trinidadians had the opportunity to thank each other for the support received in the last four years. The event was chaired by Cuban Ambassador Guillermo Vázquez Moreno and Dr. Laura González Valdés, head of the Medical Brigade in the Caribbean country.

Castries, October 5, 2018.

The Saint Lucian Minister responsible for Agriculture, the Honorable Ezechiel Joseph, signed on October 5, 2018 the Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Agriculture of Cuba (MINAGRI), which was represented by Ambassador Jorge Francisco Soberon Luis.

During the signing ceremony of the agreement, the Saint Lucian Minister mentioned the satisfactory results of his visit to Cuba in 2018 to evaluate the exchange opportunities.

Cuba and Austria strengthen the cooperation between their Ministries of Justice

The visit performed by the delegation of the Ministry of Justice of Cuba to Vienna composed of Dr. Claudio Ramos Borrego, Director of International Relations and Dr. Yudit Nápoles la O, Director of Criminal Matters provided a new impetus to the excellent bonds of cooperation traditionally maintained between the Ministries of Justice of both countries.

Ministry of Education of Trinidad and Tobago launches the call for Cuban scholarships to study Medicine (2018-2019).

Port of Spain, May 1st.- The Ministry of Education of Trinidad and Tobago published the call for the 5 scholarships for Medical Studies (3 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate) offered annually by the Government of Cuba to young Trinidadians for the academic year 2018- 2019. The initiative is part of the agreements and commitments of Cuba with the countries that make up CARICOM, fruit of which 5,432 young people from the Caribbean have been trained as professionals in Cuban Universities, of them around one hundred Trinidadians. Currently, 723 young Caribbean students are studying in Cuba.

Port of Spain, February 27 - The Minister of Public Health of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Terrence Deyalsingh, received Guillermo Vázquez Moreno, ambassador of Cuba to the Caribbean island, at the institution's headquarters. The Minister was accompanied by Richard Madray and Dr. Roshan Padasran, permanent secretary and chief of medical assistance of the Ministry.

The parties discussed several topics of bilateral interest, among which stands out the continuity and perspectives for the strengthening of the fruitful and recognized relations of bilateral cooperation in the medical sector, as a result of which a hundred Cuban health collaborators work at the moment., which includes doctors, nurses and pharmacists. At present, both countries are working on updating the bilateral cooperation agreement. Likewise, was discussed the status of the projects under evaluation that will allow the entry to Trinidad and Tobago of important Cuban medicines.
