Orlando Requeijo, Cuban Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has paid a working visit to the Saudi Export Program (SEP) headquarters, one of the branches of the Saudi Development Fund, in Riyadh. He was welcomed by the new SEP Director-General, Mr. Abdulmohsen bin Abdulrahman Al Khayal.
During the meeting details about the put into motion of the credit line agreement signed in 2016 between the Cuban Government and the Saudi Development Fund were discussed. This agreement is aimed to increase through credit mechanisms the sale of non-oil Saudi products to Cuba. Some of them have already been present in the Cuban market for some years back.
Both sides stated the mutual interest to put into motion this mechanism and also they ratified the will of Cuban and Saudi companies in strengthening the commercial links among them.
Also present in the meeting were Mr. Ali S. Algarni, Director of Export Finance Department; Mr. Nawaf Saad Al-Ajrush, Marketing Specialist; and Mr. Bandar Alammar, in charge of Accounting and Monitoring at the SEP, among other officials.
