On the second and final day of work in Ottawa, the delegation headed by the First Vice President of Cuba's National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (INDER), Raúl Fornés Valenciano, held a fruitful and relaxed exchange at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Canada, with the staunch friend Bill Ryan. The meeting was conducive to exploring ways to strengthen cooperation with Cuba and to once again convey admiration and gratitude to Bill for so many years of faithful friendship with the Cuban people.
Bill gifted the First Vice President a Cubacan bat, which he himself manufactures, of proven quality, with the signature of the Cuban official, "The Five," a symbol of resistance; and the logo designed by his friend, the Cuban hero, Gerardo Hernández Nordelo. The Cubacan bats are meant to continue hitting home runs in Cuba.
The Cuban delegation will continue on to the city of Toronto to continue their work agenda.
