Continuing their working visit to Canada, following meetings with authorities in Quebec, the delegation headed by the First Vice President of Cuba's National Institute of Sports, Physical Education, and Recreation (INDER), Raúl Fornés Valenciano, arrived in Ottawa.
They held two meetings with Canadian authorities: at the Ministry of Heritage, with Nathalie Nye, Director General of Sport Canada; and at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with Mark Richardson, Director General of Latin America of the Canadian Foreign Ministry. Both exchanges pursued the objective of promoting cooperation with Cuba.
Subsequently, the First Vice President and the members of the accompanying delegation exchanged views at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy with its work collective; followed by a meeting with a representation of resident Cubans and Canadians in solidarity with Cuba. The love for the Island and the will to defend it day by day were evident.
