Conference "Rosa Luxemburg" in Vienna devotes space to information and debate on the current situation in Cuba

 Within the framework of the "Rosa Luxemburg" Conference, held for the first time in Austria; a panel was dedicated to Cuba; with the participation of the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy, ​​Marieta García Jordán and the directors of the Austria-Cuba Friendship Association "ÖKG": Alfred Kohlbacher, President of the Curatorium; Hermann Pernestorfer, General Secretary and Marcus Strohmaier, Vice President.

Extensive information was provided on the general election process in Cuba, to be held on March 11; the updating of the economic and social model and the state of Cuba-United States relations. The public, through interesting questions and comments, identified with the history of struggle and resistance of the Cuban people and expressed its rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States and all kinds of aggressions against the Cuban revolution.

On the part of the representatives of the ÖKG, the origins of this organization were recalled, which will be 50 years old in 2019; and explained the main actions of solidarity that he has carried out, to support Cuba politically and materially.

The Rosa Luxemburg Conference is traditionally held in Germany and on this occasion it called hundreds of participants from left and social organizations from Austria, Germany and other countries, on March 2 and 3.
