The Consul General of Cuba in Toronto, Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, held a working meeting with Veronica Panton, the new Chief of Protocol and Director of International Relations of the province of Ontario, at the headquarters of the provincial government.
During the meeting, the will of both parties was reaffirmed to advance in projects of mutual interest, identify potential areas and sectors that allow a greater rapprochement between the province and our country, and promote spaces and initiatives to support the Cuban community settled in this area.
The Consul General thanked the representative of the Canadian government for the support provided for the fulfillment of her duties since her arrival in Toronto and reaffirmed the will to continue working together for the rapprochement of both peoples. He also took the opportunity to update her on the situation in Cuba and the negative impact of the US blockade against our nation.
