On the occasion of the New Year's Reception hosted by the Federal President of Austria, Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen, to the Diplomatic Corps accredited in this country; the Cuban Ambassador, Her Excellency, Mrs. Loipa Sánchez Lorenzo extensively talked to the President and the authorities of the newly elected coalition government of Austria, composed of the People´s Party (ÖVP, by its German initials) and the Green Party.
The Ambassador conveyed to the Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs, His Excellency, Mr. Alexander Schallenberg, the congratulatory message sent by his Cuban counterpart, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla.
The cordial meetings reaffirmed the good relations existing between both countries and the mutual willingness to continue strengthening them, after 73 years of unsteady diplomatic relations.
