Zagreb, 7 December 2017 – H.E. Mr. Vice Skračić, Assistant Minister for Political Affairs and H.E. Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios, Ambassador of Cuba in that country signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of both countries for the Establishment of Political Consultations at a ceremony held in Zagreb on 7 December.
The signing of this document will allow formalizing the exchange and the bilateral political dialogue, fostering this way, the development of the relations between both countries.
Prior to this, both diplomats held a constructive and friendly meeting where they ratified the willingness to broaden and strengthen the bilateral political dialogue and bonds in regional and international areas of mutual interest. The Cuban side thanked Croatian permanent support to the resolution against the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by United States against Cuba which is presented to the UN General Assembly every year and Croatian constructive position in the framework of the relations with the EU.
Cuba and Croatia celebrate this year, the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
