Addis Ababa, July 5, 2024.- The Ministry of Water and Energy of Ethiopia and the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources of Cuba signed an inter-institutional agreement to implement the agreement signed in 2014 between governments of both countries.
The agreement was signed by the Ethiopian side by the Minister of State of the Ministry of Water and Energy of Ethiopia, Ambassador Asfaw Dingamo and by the Cuban side was signed by the Vice President of the National Institute of Water Resources, Mr. Javier Toledo.
The agreement includes the areas of cooperation in which the parties involved will begin to work, including: work on water resources management, drinking water and sanitation, weather forecasting process. Topics such as the search for resources and the technological transition are also included.
The Cuban delegation arrived in Ethiopia on July 1, completing a 5-day program in different regions of the country.
