Cuba and Guyana Exchange Creative Experiences in Art and Fashion.

Georgetown, May 19, 2025. With the presence of Mr. Rafael Méndez, the prominent cultural promoter and artisan artist of the Cuban Association of Artisans and Artists (ACAA), an exchange with representatives of Guyanese culture took place at the Cuban Embassy in Guyana. The meeting allowed for a closer look at the diversity of the two countries. The presence of creators from different Guyanese ethnic communities was positive, coordinated by Guyanese entrepreneur Marlon Joseph, who led his country's representation. The possibility of carrying out joint projects in design, art photography, jewelry making, art studies, art trade, integration of artistic expressions, cultural exhibitions, and craft creation was evaluated. As part of the activity, mention was made of the significance of the life and work of Cuban national hero José Julián Martí Pérez for the culture of Latin America and the Caribbean, on the occasion of the anniversary of his death in combat for independence.
