The Cuban delegation of the renewable energy sector concluded its visit to India ratifying the commitment of both countries in the development of joint renewable energy projects. The director of renewable energies of the Unión Eléctrica, Ovel Concepción, together with specialists from the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the company Energoimport, held fruitful meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Renewable Energies of India, the Eximbank agency and companies and institutions of the sector.
The meeting with Dr. Ajay Mathur, general director of the International Solar Alliance (ISA), of which Cuba is a member, stood out. The exchange ratified the willingness of both parties to continue strengthening cooperation in this area of strategic and priority interest. The International Solar Alliance is an initiative created by India with the primary objective of promoting the efficient exploitation of solar energy to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
