Cuba and Kenya commit to strengthening economic, trade and cooperation relations

Nairobi, March 8, 2022- The Cuban Ambassador to Kenya, Juan Manuel Rodríguez Vázquez, was received by the Principal Secretary of the State Department for Trade and Enterprise Development of the Republic of Kenya, Ambassador Johnson Weru. The meeting was also attended by the III Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Nairobi, Edisleydi Curbelo Garcia, as well as officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development in Kenya.

 

 

The meeting was spot-on to agree on actions focusing on strengthening relations between the two countries related to the economic, commercial and cooperation spheres. The presentation of a new MOU between the Chambers of Commerce, stands out among the main results of the exchange.

 

Cuba continues to consolidate its political and cooperation ties with the African continent, chiefly with the brotherly country of Kenya.
