Cuba and Lebanon advocate for strengthening interparliamentary ties
Deputy Fadi F. Alame, President of the Lebanese Parliament's Foreign Affairs and Immigration Committee, received Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz, who delivered the Appeal of the International Relations Committee of the National Assembly of People's Power to the world's parliamentarians, “The Need to Stop the Empire's Criminal Policy,” and also delivered copies of the various statements by the Revolutionary Government condemning, in the strongest terms, the new escalation by the United States government against Cuba in its efforts to impose a total blockade on fuel supplies to our country.
The Cuban diplomat conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the president of the ANPP International Relations Commission and reiterated his gratitude for Lebanon's dignified positions in support of Cuba against the blockade imposed by the US against Cuba.
The Lebanese deputy thanked Cuba for the extensive and detailed information provided on the current situation in Cuba and the imposition of the new Executive Order by the President of the United States, as part of the undeclared war, with actions aimed at isolating and economically suffocating the Cuban people in order to force them to renounce their decision to remain sovereign and independent.
