To commemorate the 52nd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Liberia, approximately one hundred people gathered at the Paynesville Cultural Center. A cultural exchange took place there, where community members, students, authorities, representatives of the diplomatic corps, and the Cuba-Liberia Friendship Association enjoyed dances, tourism and music videos, as well as Cuban food. In addition, two workshops were held, one on language and the other on salsa. Ambassador Dr. Indira López Arguelles gave a presentation who, besides to denouncing the harmful effects of the blockade and the hostility of the U.S. government, urged those present to evaluate the study opportunities in Cuba, the options of Cuban Medical Services and the main facts of the diplomatic ties between both countries The diplomat answered questions from the audience and thanked Assistant Minister Christiana Konneth, who, on behalf of the Liberian government, expressed her best wishes for progress for the Cuban people, the strengthening of ties, and prosperity for the Caribbean island.
