The International Session of the 17th National Conference of the Students Federation of India (SFI), held on December 15 in the city of Hyderabab, was inaugurated with the reading and approval of the draft resolution of solidarity with Cuba and condemnation of the damages caused by the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States on the Cuban people.
The Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in India, Malena Rojas Medina, in her greeting to the Conference, ratified the will of the Cuban youth to continue the legacy of Che and the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, in supporting the struggle for the defense of the causes, against imperialism and media hegemonism; as well as the will to continue working for the strengthening of the friendly regarding between the peoples of India and Cuba, particularly among its youth.
A touching moment of the Conference was the tokens of friendship and solidarity of more than 800 students from various states of the country towards Cuba.
The Cuban diplomat also exchanged with university students in which topics regarding the current situation in Cuba and possible actions to be developed to increase the exchange with Cuban university students were discussed.
