Cuba expresses gratitude for traditional support for lifting the blockade and removal from list of state sponsors of terrorism
Ambassador Salim Baddoura, Director of Multilateral Affairs, received Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz. They held a positive meeting that allowed them to review the excellent level of bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries.
The Cuban diplomat took the opportunity to reiterate his gratitude for the solidarity shown in support of the Cuban people's struggle against the blockade and the removal of Cuba from the spurious list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism, on which it should never have been included.
Both parties congratulated each other on Cuba's traditional support in the historic granting of scholarships for the training of Lebanese professionals and its solidarity in support of the recovery of the occupied territories in the south and respect for Lebanon's sovereignty and independence.
Likewise, during the positive meeting, mutual congratulations were expressed for the close relations between Cuba and Lebanon, and they advocated continuing to work to strengthen them.
