Friends of Cuba in Malaysia staged a protest demonstration outside the United States Embassy in Kuala Lumpur last weekend to demand an end to the genocide against the Cuban people.
At the diplomatic mission, protesters delivered a copy of a declaration signed by 16 progressive and civil society organizations in Malaysia, rejecting the policy of hostility and aggression illegally imposed on Cuba by the U.S. government for sixty-seven years—a policy that has been intensified without any justification.
With megaphones in hand, and carrying the Cuban flag alongside a large banner demanding "Let Cuba Live!", the protesters raised their voices against injustice. Their signs demanded: "USA, stop the genocide against Cuba!", "End the U.S. blockade of Cuba!", "Trump, hands off Cuba!", and "Peace for Cuba!"
This act of solidarity, led by members of the Socialist Party of Malaysia and other peace-loving activists, serves as a gesture of support for the Cuban Revolution and the heroic resistance of its people.
This action demonstrates that imperialism cannot silence the dignified voices of those who defend a better world—one free from threats of military aggression, criminal blockades, and inhumane oil embargoes against sovereign nations intended to trigger social unrest and humanitarian crises, thereby violating the right to life and peace.
From Asia, a clear message was sent today rejecting the current U.S. administration's criminal policy of aggression against Cuba.
