Kolkata, January 24, 2026- With "Cinderella according to the Beatles" of the Children’s Theatre Company "La Colmenita", Cuba was present at the XII International Festival of Children’s Cinema in Kolkata.
This festival is organized by the Shishu Kishore Academy and the government of Kolkata. The play was presented on 24 January, International Education Day.
Ambassador Juan Carlos Marsan Aguilera was invited to the opening ceremony and to the opening of an exhibition on the theme of the Festival.
The First Secretary Maiky Diaz Perez presented the work highlighting its humanistic values for the new generations. "Cinderella... according to the Beatles" is a beautiful cultural bridge that demonstrates that imagination and art have no borders and that music and dreams are understood in all languages.
This action expands cultural relations between India and Cuba.
