Cuba participates in the 6th International Conference of the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI) in New Delhi.

First Colonel Luis Ángel Macareño, second chief of the National General Staff of the Cuban Civil Defense, heads the delegation representing Cuba at the 6th International Conference of the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI), being held in New Delhi on April 24-25. He is accompanied by Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Abel Aballe Despaigne and Major Leonel Esteves Pérez.  

In a video message for the Inaugural Session of the Conference, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel ratified our country's commitment to continue working, together with the rest of the members of the Coalition, to increase international cooperation in this field, for the benefit of our peoples. He also recognized the role played by India in the development of the organization and its excellent work as co-chair. 

As part of its work agenda, the Cuban delegation participated in the 5th Meeting of the Governance Council of the Coalition, where Cuba was welcomed for its recent incorporation as a member of the organization. 

The delegation also held a meeting with the Director General of CDRI, with whom it exchanged views on Cuba's incorporation into the Coalition's programs, as well as our active participation in the process of exchanging experiences and mutual learning within this initiative. In addition, Cuban representatives will meet with Indian and international authorities and institutions.
