The Deputy Head of Mission of the Cuban Embassy in India, Abel Aballe Despaigne, highlighted the various business opportunities, particularly in the form of foreign investment, offered by the Cuban mining sector to Indian companies, at the business forum "Indian Minerals & Metals Industry", organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) in conjunction with the Ministries of Steel and Mines of India.
The Cuban diplomat highlighted Cuba's mineral wealth, the characteristics of its mining industry and the successful experiences of foreign investment in the sector with partners from different latitudes. He also highlighted the security environment, legal guarantees and tax facilities that investors in Cuba obtain, while extending an invitation to those present to strengthen ties with the Caribbean nation in this area. Cuba has a wide diversity of metallic raw materials, as well as industrial rocks and minerals.
The event was attended by FICCI executives, the Indian Ministries of Steel and Mines, as well as representatives of mining and steel companies engaged in the trade of these goods.
