Addis Ababa, June 30, 2026.- The Embassy of Cuba in Ethiopia participated in the seedling planting ceremony of the Green Legacy Initiative, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Authority, for members of the diplomatic community based in Addis Ababa, in Entoto Park, reaffirming its commitment to environmental protection and sustainable development initiatives.
During the ceremony, Minister of State Ambassador Hadera Abera affirmed that Ethiopia remains committed to green development and is implementing the Green Legacy Initiative in an exemplary manner for the world. He noted that the initiative is not only aiding the recovery of affected areas but is also generating tangible results in job creation and sustainable development.
He added that today's tree-planting program provides an important platform to further strengthen cooperation with the diplomatic community.
