Cuba participates in an information meeting on the CELAC-Africa Forum

Addis Ababa, February 26, 2026 - In an atmosphere of dialogue and reaffirmation of South-South cooperation ties, the Ambassador of Cuba to the African Union, Lucas D. Hernández Polledo, and the Ambassador of Cuba to Ethiopia, Meylin Suárez Álvarez, participated in the information meeting and accompanied the presentation of the upcoming CELAC-Africa High-Level Forum, reiterating their country's commitment to strengthening bi-regional ties.

His Excellency Professor Yeison Arcadio Meneses Copete, Ambassador of Colombia to Ethiopia, informed African ambassadors, representatives of CELAC countries, and members of the media about the upcoming Forum, which will take place in Bogotá from March 18 to 21, 2026.

Convened within the framework of Colombia's Pro Tempore Presidency of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), this Forum represents a decisive step toward consolidating and expanding cooperation between Latin America, the Caribbean, and the African continent.
