Cuba present at Austrian Women's Association summer meeting

Vienna, July 3 - The First Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in Austria, Lisset González López, attended the First Summer Meeting of the Austrian Women's Association (Österreichischer Frauenring, OFR), held at the ega:frauen im zentrum center in the Austrian capital. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with members of the OFR, including its president, Ms. Klaudia Frieben, and vice-president, Ms. Sibel Ada, among others.

The event, which brought together representatives of OFR member organizations, was aimed at strengthening alliances to advance gender equality.

While interacting with the participants, the Cuban diplomat highlighted the Island's progress in the advancement of women, including the role of women in the Cuban parliament, the 2022 Family Code and the work of the Federation of Cuban Women.

The interest of both parties to continue to strengthen ties and to explore the implementation of possible projects in the future was reiterated.
