Cuba present at the celebration of the International Day of the Spanish Language in Lebanon
Ambassador Jorge P. León Cruz, participated in the celebration of the International Day of the Spanish Language held at the Modern Institute of Lebanon (IML) of the International French Lycée and, together with other Latin American ambassadors, received a plaque for the commemoration, presented by Mr. Maroun Khalite, director of the Lebanese high school.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Khalite emphasized the Institute's desire to strengthen ties between the educational center and Spanish-speaking countries.
The program of the event included presentations of Spanish and Latin American dances and speeches by various personalities, including Mr. Michel de Chadarevian, International Relations Advisor to the President of the Republic, who highlighted the richness and diversity of the Spanish language, its cultural, literary, artistic and musical heritage, along with the diversity, hospitality and solidarity that characterizes the Spanish-speaking peoples.
