Addis Ababa, June 20, 2023. The Chargé d'Affaires a.i of the Embassy of Cuba in Ethiopia, Natalys Dinza, participated in the conference held at the headquarters of the African Union on the occasion of World Refugee Day.
This year, under the theme "Hope away from home", the panel's interventions focused on finding joint solutions to include refugees in the communities that welcomed them after fleeing conflict and persecution.
World Refugee Day is an occasion to foster understanding and empathy towards refugees and displaced people in consideration of the difficult circumstances in which they find themselves; likewise, the date allows us to recognize their resilience in the reconstruction of their lives and the contributions to the host communities.
