Cuba present at the Commemoration of the International Al Quds Day in Beirut.
The head of mission Jorge Leon Cruz attended the commemoration of the International Al Quds Day, which was held at the headquarters of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, chaired by Ambassador Mojtaba Amani and Lebanese Minister of Culture Mohammad Mortada, who made the closing and opening speeches of the Conference, respectively.
At the crowded event, among other leaders of political forces in the country, Osama Hamdan, Palestinian leader of Hamas; the deputy secretary general of Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem; the head of the International Union of Resistance Scholars, Sheikh Maher Hammoud; the deputy secretary general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Abu Ahmad Fuad; and the representative of the Ansar Allah movement in Lebanon, Ammar al-Hamzi, also took the floor.
The main messages of the speakers confirmed that:
- The resistance in Palestine has known special support thanks to the efforts of the late martyred commander Qassem Soleimani.
- 44 years after the declaration of Quds Day, the enemy was defeated in Lebanon; then in Gaza it has been contested in Al-Quds, and its aggression against Syria receded.
- The path of resistance has proliferated into an axis in the region led by the Islamic Republic of Iran and with Palestine as a focal point has become a force to be reckoned with.
- Al-Quds is the key to liberating the entire region from oppression and hegemony.
- Quds Day is an annual milestone to assess progress and address obstacles, and after 44 years, strategic achievements have been made to remove the Israeli occupation entity from existence.
- The path of resistance is more powerful today and has imposed deterrence equations. There are no limits to our defense, and there are no limits to confront this occupation.
- The events we are experiencing indicate great transformations in the region, and we must take advantage of them to fight for the liberation of the Palestinian people.
- Palestine is currently in the midst of an armed revolution.
- We are experiencing developments at the regional and international level, and the time of American unipolarity is over, and we have begun to live in a multipolar stage.
- The forces of hegemony are on the decline thanks to the awareness and struggle of the peoples of the region.
- The International Quds Day and the great transformations of this year have a terrifying impact on the Zionist enemy.
At the conclusion of the conference, the more than 300 participants from the main Lebanese and Palestinian political forces and movements shared an iftar organized at the diplomatic mission headquarters.
Every year, on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, international marches are held to support the struggle of the Palestinian people to achieve self-determination, independence and sovereignty.
This annual event, designated by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini in 1979 as International Al Quds Day, is considered an occasion for people of all world religions to express their solidarity with the Palestinian cause and is one of the legacies of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
