Vienna, September 23. Cuba and its culture were once again represented at the Long Nights of Interculturality, which take place every year at Vienna City Hall.
The World Costume Gala took place in the main hall of the Rathaus Palace, where members of the Ritmo Tropical project led by Cuban resident Luis Estévez delighted the audience with rhythms and traditional costumes from the island, while showcasing our cultural tradition.
The World Costume Gala once again brought together the Austrian public with Cuban artists living in Austria, who over the years have passed on their culture, traditions, and customs to several generations of this Central European nation.
Participants, including the diplomatic corps accredited in Austria, also enjoyed samples of Cuban culinary traditions and received informational materials from national campaigns promoting Cuba as a unique tourist destination.
With participation in the Long Nights of Interculturality and the screening of the film “Buscando a Casal” at the Cervantes Institute in Vienna, the Cuban Embassy in Austria's program to celebrate Cuban Culture Day, held every year on October 20, begins.
