Cuba present at Venezuela's National Dignity Day.
Ambassador Jorge León Cruz participated in the commemoration of the celebrations for the National Dignity Day of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, held in the halls of the Venezuelan Embassy in Beirut.
During the inauguration of the event, the Venezuelan Ambassador, Jesús Gregorio González González, gave a broad overview of the patriotic dates celebrated by Venezuela during the month of February and highlighted the presence of Venezuelan women in the Bolivarian revolutionary process.
The president of the Federation of Lebanese Women, the board of directors of the Latin American Solidarity Association ¨José Martí", the representative of the Association of Venezuelan Citizens residing in Lebanon and the Cuban ambassador also took the floor.
In his speech, Leon highlighted the significant transcendence of the civic-military rebellion of February 4, 1992, led by the then Lieutenant Colonel Hugo Chavez Frias, an event which marked the beginning of the Bolivarian Revolution in Venezuela and which marked a before and after in the history of that sister nation.
Finally, he emphasized that in the face of the threats looming over Venezuela, Cuba ratifies its unrestricted support for the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and President Nicolás Maduro Moros, at the head of a revolutionary process that has more than demonstrated that victory belongs entirely to those who found and love peace.
During the emotional ceremony, several videos of the Bolivarian process were shown, in which the active presence of women and their decisive participation in the development of Venezuelan social plans was evidenced.
