Cuba receives a donation from friends of solidarity and Cubans living in Lebanon.
The director of the North Africa and Middle East Directorate of MINREX and MEDICUBA executives received a shipment of 87,000 syringes, 2,600 masks and 1,000 gloves, sent by the friends of solidarity and Cubans living in the country of the cedars.
The arrival of the donation, which coincides with the closing of the International Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, held with the presence of 1,077 delegates from 60 countries, will contribute to alleviate the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the tightening of the U.S. blockade against Cuban society and the health system in particular.
One more proof that solidarity cannot be blocked. The world continues to express its support for Cuba in the face of the hostile and genocidal policy of the United States against the island. Only cooperation and mutual aid will be able to confront the perversity of the Yankee empire, the cause of the main military conflicts of humanity.
