Harare, May 29, 2025 – The Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa, reiterated today historic cuban position of support for the Palestinian people during a fraternal meeting with her counterpart from that country, His Excellency Dr. Tamer Almassri. The diplomat reaffirmed firm condemnation of the genocide committed by Israel with the support of the United States and other countries. Pérez Mesa highlighted Cuba's strengthened position at the highest political and social levels against this atrocity. The Palestinian Ambassador to Zimbabwe commented on the terrible situation of his people due to Israel's criminal actions and thanked the Caribbean nation for its continued solidarity. Almassri also highlighted the movement of support in Zimbabwe and the region, as well as global efforts to stop the genocide. At the same time, the Ambassador Pçerez Mesa updated on the measures ihas taken by US administration against the Caribbean island, particularly to tighten the blockade that seeks to suffocate Cubans. She praised the Caribbean nation's will to resist, fight, and win, reflected in the massive popular demonstrations in major cities and squares on May 1st.
