Quebec – From February 2 to 4, the Consul General of Cuba in Montreal, Susana Malmierca Benítez, carried out a working visit to Quebec City, where she participated in the 38th edition of the Annual Days for Heads of Consular Posts.
Prior to the event, Malmierca Benítez held a meeting with Mathieu Parenteau, Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Quebec Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie. During the dialogue, they reviewed various aspects of the bilateral relationship between Cuba and Quebec, highlighting opportunities for mutual collaboration.
Within the framework of the event, the Cuban diplomat exchanged views on several topics of common interest with Christopher Skeete, Quebec’s Minister of International Relations, as well as with other officials from the province's ministry.
These meetings reaffirm Cuba's commitment to constructive dialogue and the strengthening of ties with Quebec.
The 38th edition of the Annual Days for Heads of Consular Posts —known in French as Journées annuelles des chefs de postes consulaires— was held at the Parliament of Quebec and organized by the province's Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie. This annual gathering brought together dozens of heads of consular offices accredited in Quebec, primarily based in Montreal. The program included conferences and presentations on the Quebec government's international priorities, bilateral exchanges, and a reception hosted by Premier François Legault, with the aim of strengthening cooperation and sharing Quebec's vision on the global stage.
