Cuba strongly condemns the attacks and aggressions of the United States against Venezuela

Addis Ababa, January 4, 2026.- Members of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Ethiopia paid a visit to the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, where they held an exchange with the members of that diplomatic representation.

During the meeting, the Cuban delegation expressed Cuba’s absolute, unconditional, and firm support for the Venezuelan people and Government, and categorically condemned the attacks and hostile actions carried out by the Government of the United States against the territory, institutions, and sovereignty of Venezuela.

The Cuban Mission denounced these aggressions as blatant acts of interference and serious violations of International Law, the United Nations Charter, and the fundamental principles of peaceful coexistence among States.

It was also emphasized that these actions aim to undermine the will of the Venezuelan people, seize their natural resources, and reverse a sovereign political project. Cuba reiterated that no external pressure, blockade, or aggression will succeed in breaking the dignity and resilience of the Venezuelan people.

Both delegations agreed on the necessity of maintaining unity, strengthening diplomatic coordination, and raising international awareness of these aggressive policies, reaffirming their commitment to sovereignty, the self-determination of peoples, and solidarity among nations of the Global South.
