The documentary "Fidel: The Untold Story" was screened at the 12th edition of the Global Journalism Festival held at Marwah Studios in the city of Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The event was organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), the International Center for Journalism and Marwah Film and Television Studios. At the presentation were present the Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Cuban Embassy in India, Abel Aballe Despaigne; and Sandeep Marwah, director of the Institution and president of Noida Film City.
The Cuban diplomat thanked Marwah Studios and its President for organizing the event and stressed the importance of knowledge of the history, culture and reality of Cuba to continue bringing closer the peoples of India and Cuba, as well as to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation that we share. He also reiterated the interest to continue working together with ICMEI in the promotion of Cuban culture in India.
Sandeep, for his part, expressed his honor for the possibility of sharing and making Cuban culture available to the Indian public through its cinema. He reaffirmed his willingness to continue working with the purpose of strengthening cultural relations between the two countries and establishing a cooperation that allows the realization of joint productions.
Before the screening, Sandeep Marwah presented the "Award of Distinction" to the Cuban documentary and a recognition to Abel Aballe for his participation in the Festival.
The event was also attended by art and film students, who exchanged with the Cuban diplomat about the culture, cinematography and history of Cuba.
As part of the program, the Chargé d'Affaires a.i. also participated in a seminar on "Emerging Mediums of Media: Radio" on the occasion of International Radio Day, which was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, radio and television broadcasters in India and journalists.
The Cuban diplomat recalled part of the history of radio in Cuba, as well as the achievements in this sector in our country, while reiterating the interest in exploring opportunities for cooperation with radio institutions in Noida.
