The 16th World Congress of the International Society for Esophagus Diseases will take place from September 16 to 19 in Vienna, Austria. Cuba will be represented in this important event by the prestigious Dr. Rosalba Roque González, Deputy Director and Professor in General Surgery and Principal Investigator of the National Center for Minimally Access Surgery.
A significant participation of our country is expected from international specialists, this is due to the achievements in this area by the Caribbean island.
Despite the financial difficulties and the onslaught of the tight economic and commercial blockade imposed by the United States of America to the largest of the Antilles; Cuba stands as a standard of medical power and an example to follow for the most deprived nations.
