Nigeria, June 30, 2022. The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Clara M. Pulido Escandell, received at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission in Abuja, representatives of a Nigerian delegation that visited the Caribbean island to participate in the Scientific Conference International BioHabana 2022, which was held from April 25 to 29, at the Palace of Conventions in the Cuban capital.
The meeting provided the opportunity to evaluate the result of the visit and anticipate future collaborative actions in the scientific sphere.
Different members of the delegation and other friends of Cuba present, such as Dr. Ibrahim Wada, Director of the Nisa Premier Hospital at the meeting, highlighted the importance of continuing to deepen relations between the two countries.
Representatives from the Nigerian Ministry of Health, the National Institute for Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), the West African Health Organization (WAHO), Anambra University (Unizik Anambra), the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) and the Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), a laboratory dependent on the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology, which were present, thanked the hospitality of the Cuban people and the institutions that attended them.
