Addis Ababa, June 2, 2025.- The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the African Union, Lucas Domingo Hernández Polledo, paid a courtesy visit to the Ambassador of the European Union to the African Union Commission, Mr. Javier Niño Pérez.
During the meeting, both parties discussed issues of common interest, including shared global challenges, strengthening multilateralism, cooperation with Africa, and opportunities for political dialogue and collaboration.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of respect and cordiality, facilitating a fruitful exchange. The common desire to continue promoting understanding and collaboration between both diplomatic representations was reaffirmed, thus consolidating bilateral relations and unwavering commitment.
The meeting reaffirms the desire to continue deepening ties between Cuba and the European Union, in line with the principles of respect, reciprocity, and mutual benefit that govern their historical relations.
