The Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba in the Republic of Turkmenistan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, attended the reception of the National Day celebrated by the Embassy of this Central Asian nation in Baku and exchanged views with the Turkmen ambassador, Mekan Ishanguliyev, on bilateral relations.
Friendship and fraternity have always been in the relations between Cuba and Turkmenistan, said the Cuban diplomat to congratulate the Azerbaijani ambassador on the official reception to mark the 27th anniversary of the country's independence.
For his part, Ambassador Mekan Ishanguliyev spoke about the history of his country's independence and highlighted the expansion of strategic cooperation with Azerbaijan and its satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural spheres.
