Cuban Ambassador Attends National Defense Day

The Liberian army commemorated National Defense Day with a colorful parade, which also included Pioneers and young admirers of the Fire Department.

Among those present, along with the diplomatic corps, was the Cuban Ambassador, Dr. Indira López Arguelles, who were able to appreciate the army's first graduating class, as well as the increased presence of women within the army and in the armed forces.

During the ceremony, awards were presented to prominent figures from the United States and their West African counterparts in recognition of the army's cooperative ties.
