During a meeting in Monrovia between the diplomatic corps and the heads of parliamentary committees, Cuban Ambassador Dr. Indira López Argüelles stated that Cuba supports Africa's international positions—including the call for a seat on the UN Security Council and the restructuring of international financial institutions, among other issues.
She reaffirmed the principle of the integrity and indivisibility of human rights and the fact that there is no true peace without development; consequently, she denounced the violation of the Cuban people's human rights and the collective punishment inflicted upon them by the Trump administration, while expressing gratitude for the support of the government and people of Liberia.
